The Vavengers’ thoughts on the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe V. Wade

Hello wonderful Vavengers, 

We are sure you are all feeling the collective shock and sadness at the current state of abortion laws in the United States, it’s times like these where we are reminded of how far we have to go. How it can be possible, that activists who have campaigned tirelessly before us have had their work reversed.

We know it can feel shocking and disheartening, but we want everyone who supports us to know what an honour it is to be a part of the solution, a part of the necessary force against these archaic setbacks. Which are just that – setbacks.

We don’t always see the affect of our work but we know it creates waves that turn into ripples we cannot see or measure. 

The work we are doing together, with your support, will be reaching women and girls far beyond our comprehension, and moments like these remind us of why we must continue. Let’s send out thoughts and prayers to all the women at the intersection of many forms of discrimination in the states, who will undoubtedly suffer in unimaginable ways because of this decision by the Supreme Court.
